The World’s Greatest High-Altitude Trek

One of the most adventurous and marvellous scenic treks in the Karakoram, the K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La trek offers breathtaking views of the highest mountains and longest glaciers outside the polar regions. From the thundering Baltoro Glacier to the iconic throne room of the mountain gods at Concordia — this is a trek unlike any other on earth.

The return route over Gondogoro Pass (5,650 m) leads south to the scenic Hushe Valley, offering panoramic views of K2, Broad Peak, GI, GII and a cascade of Karakoram giants. Hushe Valley is surrounded by Masherbrum (7,821 m), K6 (7,282 m), K7 and Laila Peak. The trek begins from Islamabad, driving through the Karakoram Highway — the eighth wonder of the world.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Karakoram Journey

01
The Magnificent K2
Admire K2 up close at its base camp — the world’s second-highest peak at 8,611 m, the “Savage Mountain,” rising dramatically against electric-blue Karakoram skies.
02
Gondogoro La Pass
Cross the epic Gondogoro La at 5,650 m for sweeping panoramas of the greatest concentration of high peaks on earth — K2, Broad Peak, GI and GII at once.
03
Confluence of Glaciers
At Concordia (4,700 m), witness the Baltoro, Godwin-Austen and Vigne Glaciers converging — the “Throne Room of the Mountain Gods,” ringed by five 8,000 m peaks.
04
Hushe Valley Return
Instead of retracing your steps, descend via the scenic Hushe Valley past Masherbrum, K6, K7 and Laila Peak — an entirely different world on the way back.
